We are open to everything that isn't boring. We are especially excited about stuff too long for other journals, stuff too genre-y for other journals, stuff too complicated in form or style for other journals. We like wacko projects. We like stories that are well-controlled and we like ambition. (Understand that when we say "stories," we mean "anything that matters." Poems, comics, photos, essays, whatever. It just has to be awesome to read.)
We like writers, and we like being editors. So thanks for submitting your work to us, for keeping our work alive.
You can submit an individual piece of work, or, if you would be interested in letting us consider selections from your body of work, you can submit a single word document with several submissions. Combine genres, send a couple hundred pages, whatever you think makes the most sense. Just understand we won't read anything more than the work compels us to read. If you have a pitch for a serialized feature, an online column, or anything we haven’t imagined or provided for here, you can submit that too, to mike.meginnis@gmail.com and/or trbowling@gmail.com. Everything else should come through here.
